Håkons Hall is the arena of a wide variety of events, such as sporting events, conferences, kick-offs, exibitions and concerts. It was finished 1. February 1993. During the Olympic wintergames, Håkons Hall was the main arena for ice hockey, and it was also used during the Paralymics and for the World Championship finals in handball for women in 1999.
Today it’s one of the world’s most flexible sports arenas, as its interior easily can be changed to suit different needs. Areas close to the entrance and counter comes in handy for the officials.
Håkons hall is used for sporting-, cultural and commercial events all through the year. Tournaments, fairs or conferences; Håkons hall finds accommodation for all, including areas for serving food and beverages. The ravishing architecture, the egg used in the opening ceremony of the Olympic wintergames in 1994 and the wall built for in-door climbing make this an extraordinary environment for any event.
