Worldwide Commentator Information System
Worldwide CIS allows the users to use a Commentator Information System client outside the stadium. Data transfer via Internet allows right holders to set up such a terminal anywhere in the world. ST INNOVATION provides a software that becomes a CIS client with the data transfer. The maximum delay in comparison to stadium provided to stadium-located terminals is approx. 5-10 seconds. Therefore the system allows to work with the same proven technology and data representation then in the stadium.
The CIS client provides the following data:
- Detailed event schedules
- Standings
- Teamroster & statistics
- all-embracing match statistics (live)
- Top list's for the event
The application features a login that checks if the user has the corresponding rights to receive data. The user logs onto a server that provides data to the application upon successful login.
The following restrictions are applicable to the
software compared to the local CIS:
- No historical data available
- No athletes pictures and competition logos available
- No video feeds available
Technical requirements for the operation of Worldwide CIS
The client software has the following requirements:
- Windows Operating System (Windows 2000 or Windows XP)
- Direct Internet access (recommended: DSL or ISDN direct connection)
- If a firewall is used, ports 10000-10030 should be available.
- The system can currently not be operated behind a proxy server, but we are working on solutions.
