The European Handball Federation has named the All Star Team, Most Valuable Player, best defender and top goal scorers at the European Handball Championship in Norway.
At the closing ceremony in Lillehammer, Europe's top players were honoured for their outstanding contribution to Euro 2008 with gifts presented by EHF partner, adidas.
The event's Most Valuable Player (MVP) was named as Nikola Karabatic from France.
The following players were named in the All Star Team:
Best Goalkeeper – Kasper Hvidt – Denmark
Best Left Wing – Lars Christiansen – Denmark
Best Left Back – Daniel Narcisse – France
Ivano Balic – Best Playmaker – Croatia
Best Pivot – Frank Loke – Norway
Best Right Back – Kim Andersson – Sweden
Best Right Wing – Florian Kehrmann – Germany
The best defensive player was Igor Vori from Croatia and three players shared the top goal scorer title with 44 goals each. They were Lars Christiansen from Denmark, Ivano Balic from Croatia and Nikola Karabatic from France.
