Denmark qualify directly for London 2012

Thanks to their 21:19 victory in the EHF EURO 2012 Final in Belgrade against host Serbia, the Danish men have qualified directly for the 2012 Olympic Games in London as European Champions.

Like them Great Britain (host), France (World Champion), Korea (Asian representative), Tunisia (Africa) and Argentina (Pan America) took the direct qualification for the Olympic handball tournament.

Due to the final ranking of the EHF EURO 2012 also the final constellation of the three Olympic Qualification Tournaments is known. Serbia and FYR Macedonia took the two tickets from the EHF EURO 2012, as Poland secured their participation as eight ranked team of the 2011 World Championship thanks to the Danish victory in Belgrade.

Those Olympic Qualification tournaments will take place 6- 8 April, the each two best ranked teams book their tickets for London.

Tournament 1 (in Spain): Spain, Poland, Serbia, Algeria

Tournament 2 (in Sweden): Sweden, Hungary, Brazil, FYR Macedonia

Tournament 3 (in Croatia): Croatia, Iceland, Japan, Chile
