NRGi Arena

NRGi Arena was built in 2001. It is used for not only big sport events but also for conferences and company arrangements. Despite the Atletion is designed very light and Nordic, its architecture was inspired by amphitheatres of the ancient Romans, where high and low were united in roaring exaltation and unbelievable tension over the drama that took place before their eyes.

In the arena the Danish table tennis ladies secured gold at the European Championships in 2002, furthermore it was host to the table tennis World Championship 2005 and the 2006 World Championships in sports gymnastics.

Other famous events that took place in the NRGi Arena are the world famous horse show Appassionata, lectures of Bill Clinton and Kofi Annan, and big concerts like the Danish Melody Festival.
