Nomination of players and officials

The maximum number of players on the official delegation list remains with 16 according to point 4.1.1.1 of the European Championship Regulations, the official start list shall be confirmed by the team official one hour prior to each match. 

Players Clothing

All delegations are obliged to bring at least two sets of playing dresses (shirt and shorts).  One set must be in a light colour and the other set must be in a dark colour (check at the first Technical Meeting).

Players must wear clearly legible numbers with figures being at least 20 cm high on their backs and at least 10 cm high on their chest.

According to point 5.3.1.1. of the European Championship Regulations, paragraph 2 the players' names shall be displayed in Latin letters on the backs of the shirts, above the players' numbers, in clearly legible letters of a minimum height of 10 cm (there will be exceptions for delegations that have one or more players with long names that do not fit across the shirts.  In this case confirmation from the EHF must be sought and the agreed letter size should be used for all team shirts).  Please note the area above the player´s names is reserved and should not contain any advertising.

According to point 5.3.2.1. of the European Championship Regulations the dress colours fixed at the Technical Meeting shall be used (the plan of clothing applies - there is no priority rule for first listed team!).

According to point 3.4.1 of the Regulations on Advertising on Clothing the sleeves of the playing shirts of all players are reserved for the EHF for advertising purposes. The EHF makes use of this right during the EHF EURO 2010 accordingly.

In relation to the above point, the advertising badges/logos and the Championship logo needs to be fixed to the sleeves of the players´ shirts.  Upon arrival of the teams all fixing (collecting, sewing and returning) will be taken care of by the OC, all coordination will be done by the team guides responsible for the individual teams.   Separate information will follow regarding the logistics of fixing the advertising and Championship logo on the sleeves.  Teams are asked to liaise with their Team Guides to ensure that they have both different colour sets of dresses to bring along to the Technical Meeting.

Personality Rights

EHF EURO 2010 material of various kind - film, picture, print, DVD, etc. - produced during and relating to the EHF EURO 2010 is to be regarded as a part of the official event identity.

 

The EHF EURO 2010 is an official EHF event. The EHF is entitled to use and to utilize such material for promotional purposes, for distribution via media in various channels as well as for the presentation of the sport. All players in the official squad as well as the nominated team officials agree to this use with their participation as a part of the playing eligibility.

 

Playing System

The final round of the EHF Men's EURO 2010 in Austria will be played in the format of a tournament with 16 teams consisting of a preliminary round, main round, placement matches, semi-finals and finals.

Post Match Press Conference

In the preliminary round and main round matches the head coach of each of the two teams which have played last together with one key player selected by the EHF (respectively announced by the team) shall attend the press conference accompanied by an interpreter, if necessary. The post match press conference is scheduled to take place 15 minutes after the match. The participation is obligatory.

 

In semi-finals and finals the head coach shall be accompanied by two key players for the post match press conference. The entire EHF EURO 2010 winner team shall be available for media and promotion purposes after the game respectively after the event.
